Kylea & James Wedding

The first time I met Kylea & James to talk about their wedding in the COVID area, it was in September 2020; I knew we would get along great!

The ceremony was held in the same location as the reception at the Clayton Hill Golf Course in the sunshine room. As the guest arrived, I had classical love songs playing as this was kylea and James' request. The guests were seated at their tables for the ceremony, so everyone was spaced evenly apart to accommodate the new covid restrictions. I handed the mic over to Pastor John Crawford was the officiant for Kylea & James' wedding. The bridal party and groom walk down the aisle to the song 500 Miles by Sleeping at Last, then Kylea entered with her dad Will and walked down the aisle to the song 500 Miles by Renne Dominique. My favorite part about their ceremony was the song choice at the signing of the registry. They had chosen "Gold Digger by Kanye West" as they wanted the part of the song "we want prenup yha." After they were officially married, I played their exit song, "Can't Hurry by Phil Collins."

Kylea and James went off site to take pictures with their wedding party as the guests had the choice to stay at the reception of exploring the grounds. At this time, I played some cocktail classics. Kylea and James returned around 5:30 ish for their reception introduction. I had the honor of MCing Kylea and James, the whole bridal party, walked into the song choice Let's Get It Started by The Black Eyed Peas that Kylea and James had picked. Once everyone was settled, James had prepared a speech to which he thanked the guest for coming and myself and the catering team. We then moved into dinner, which was a buffet-style dinner. As the guests finishing up dinner, we moved onto the best man and maid of honor speeches, where David and Nicole crushed it. Once the speeches were over, guests had the chance to mingle with Kylea and James. It wasn't tell' about 7:00 pm that Kylea and James shared their first of a lifetime of dances together. Their first dance was choreographed to a mashup that I had prepared for them. These were the songs that they asked me to mashup where Your Song by Elton John into This Girl by Kungs; halfway through the song This Girl, the rest of the bridal party joined kylea and James on the dance floor to finish off the dance. I also asked the guest if they could dance along in their seats.

We then had parent dances where James and his mom Nancy shared a dance to the song entitled I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack. We then proceeded right into Kylea, and her dad Will dance, where they shared a dance to the song entitled Ain't She Sweet by Frank Sinatra. We had a little bit of dancing afterward. I announced that kylea and James would be cutting the cake to the song Sugar by Robin Schulz. Kylea and James decided to have a bouquet and garter toss kylea handpicked the song All The Single Ladies by Beyonce. James had to pick two pieces for the garter removal. He'd picked Mission Impossible Theme Song. For the toss the song choice was Another One Bites The Dust by Queen. We had to fish things early. There was a new health order that elaborated weddings ending at 10:00, so I played the final song Closing Time and packed up my stuff and headed out. I did have a GoPro set up for the entire time to catch all the magic from my DJ booth.
